VERNON MIKE JORDAL
Vernon Mike Jordal passed away on March 17, 2014 at Essentia Health Medical Center in Virginia, MN. Mike was born on September 13, 1920 in Buffalo Center, Iowa to Edward and Ida (Thompson) Jordal.
He graduated from Buffalo Center High School, from Valparaiso Technical Institute and from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Mike served in the US Arm during WWII as a Staff Sergeant in communications stationed in Nova Scotia and Hawaii.
He married Margaret Anderson from Eveleth, MN.
Mike worked as an electrical engineer for General Electric and Honeywell.
Margaret and Mike enjoyed summers at their cabin on Lake Vermilion in northern Minnesota for many years.
He is survived by nieces Kaye (Wayne) Dahl, DesMoine, IA, Marjorie Gilbertson, Wichita, KS, Lois Heyer, Kansas City, KS, Kay (Jim) Ryan, Hibbing, MN and nephew Dale (Rhonda) Jordal, Forest City, IA.
His wife Margaret, his parents, brothers, Hardy and Boyd and sister Inez Larson preceded him in death.
Private services with be held at a later date at Mike's request.
