Violet (nee Vukmir) Osojnicki, 97, formerly of Hibbing and Keewatin, died Thursday February 4, 2016.
Violet had a long and interesting life, having been married during World War II in Cuero, Texas while Tony was in pilot training. They returned to Keewatin when the war ended and lived there until Tony's job transfers took them first to Capreol, Ontario, Canada and then to Iron Mountain, Michigan where they lived for almost fifty years. In 2008 Violet and Tony moved to Thiensville, Wisconsin to be closer to their daughters and granddaughter.
She is survived by her daughters: Jean (Jim) Garfield of Mequon, Wisconsin and Bette Bayorgeon (Bob Lorenzen) of Fox Point, Wisconsin; her granddaughter: Jackie Garfield; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty-seven years: Tony Osojnicki; parents: Sam and Sophie Vukmir; and siblings: Mike Vukmir, Millie Stokich, Steve, Gordon and Louie Vukmir.
Visitation will be from 10:30 am until the 11:30 am Funeral Service Saturday, April 23, 2016, at the Anderson-Daniels Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Hibbing Park "Maple Hill" Cemetery.
