Virginia Mae "Jean" "Gina" Pond, age 64 of Mt. Iron died peacefully Saturday, April 14, 2012; surrounded by loved ones in her home. Jean was born July 24, 1947 in Cass Lake, MN. She was united in holy matrimony to Randall W. Pond in Duluth, MN. They were married for 44 great years. Jean was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished the times when family would get together. Jean had many loves: her husband, sons, grandsons, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, her flower garden, long walks on the bike trail, traveling, the ocean, birds, dogs, whales, cats, butterflies, Oahu, Maui, Alaska, Florida, and sunshine.
Jean is survived by her husband of 44 years: Randy; sons: William (Cara) Pond and their children: Nick and Ethan of Mt. Iron and Robert Pond (Brooke) and their children: Kylee and Morgan of Virginia.
Private family services will be held at Jean's request.
