Vivian N. Bennett, 76, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009. She was born on April 24, 1932 in Cass County to Eldon and Norma (Rowe) Bartell. She was married to Oliver Bennett on February 22, 1949 and lived in the settlement in Remer, MN. She also lived in Sweethome, Oregon, Duluth, and they lived in Grand Rapids, Cohasset, Babbitt, and were currently residing in Tower.
Vivian was an avid reader. She enjoyed growing flowers and collecting ceramic chickns. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Oliver; daughters, Vickie (James) Talarico and Patsy Zollar; sons, Roy (Kyong) Bennett and Stephen Bennett; grandchildren, Jeanette (Ryan) Hageman, Jeffery (Vicki) Bennett, Aaron (Robin) Bennett, Christina Micklich, and Andrea Bennett; great-grandchildren, Brandon Carlson, Nathan Bennett, Isaac Bennett, and Bryanna Bennett; a sister, Fay (Harold) Bundy; two brothers, Darrell (Barbara) Bartell and Lester (Sharon) Bartell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jeanette Bennett in 1961; a niece, Renee Bundy; and son-in-law, Robert Zollar.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 3, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Babbitt Baptist Church with a gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
