Beverly Ann Dahlen Obituary

Beverly A. Dahlen (née Clark), age 93, passed away peacefully at home on October 20, 2024.


She was born on December 1, 1930, in Chicago, IL. She met her husband, Charles Dahlen, in junior college and they married October 14, 1950. She worked at the telephone company in Rock Island, IL, while he attended Augustana seminary and they went on to his first parish, Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Welch, MN. In 1967, they moved to Hibbing, MN where Beverly made her home for the rest of her life.


Beverly retired from the Hibbing Public Library. In retirement she enjoyed antiques, crosswords, crocheting, her pets, reading, music and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


She is survived by her children: Mark Dahlen (Mt. Iron, MN), Cathryn Dahlen (Cloquet, MN), Beth (Tom) Dahlen (Nashwauk, MN), Andrea (Tom) Erdahl (Prescott, WI); her grandchildren: Jessica (Chris) Drahota, Matt (Kim) Rice, Charles Sterzinger, Chelsea (Rick) Beckman, Lou Lapcinski, Ian Lapcinski, Kieran Lapcinski; great-grandchildren: Christian, Nicholas and Charleigh Sterzinger. She is also survived by the people who assisted in her care in the last years: Tony, Bridget, Serinity.


She is proceeded in death by her husband, Rev. A. Charles Dahlen, her parents, siblings, and daughter-in-law Denise Dahlen.


Private family service will be held and burial will take place at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, Welch, MN.


Memorial donations may be made to area animal shelters, Minnesota Public Radio, Children’s Minnesota – Minneapolis Hospital or any local music program.
