Cheryl (Cal) (Lyons) Gianlorenzi Obituary

In Loving Memory of Cheryl Gianlorenzi

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Cheryl (Cal) Gianlorenzi, on Tuesday, July 22, 2025. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, whose warmth, strength and generous spirit touched everyone who knew her.

Cheryl was born April 11th, 1949, in Manchester, New Hampshire to John and Lorraine Lyons, where she attended and graduated from High School.  She then moved to Minneapolis, MN in 1969 where she briefly attended Airline School and adopted the name Cal.

In 1973 she met David Gianlorenzi, her soulmate and true love. They married in May 1975 surrounded by all their family and friends, just celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary this past May.

Chery had a deep love for dogs and shared a special bond with the many furry companions that were a part of her life over the years. She found great pride and purpose in her 23 plus years of work as a dedicated realtor, helping countless individuals and families find their forever home. Cal also treasured her time with the “Boat Crew,” a close-knit group of friends who shared laughter, stories, and memories on the water-moments she held especially dear.

Cal will be remembered for her compassion, loyalty, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Her presence brought comfort and joy to those around her, and her memory will be cherished always.

Cheryl is survived by her loving and devoted husband David, her children Jennifer and Nicholas, daughter-in-law Michelle, and Daniel Jackola “Her Favorite Ex-Son-In-Law”. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Christopher (wife Kelsey,) Daniel, Kaelen, and Milee, and cherished great-grandmother to Anthony, Evan, Raelynn and Gianna, and numerous nieces and nephews. Her legacy of love and kindness lives on through each of them.

Cheryl is preceded in death by, her grand-mother Matilda (Tillie) Ahern, her parents John and Lorraine Lyons, Aunts and Uncles Dorthy and Joseph Peters, and Clare and Guy Hunter, Sisters-in-Law Carol Ann Gianlorenzi (Zurn) and Nona Elena Gianlorenzi (Devlin), brother-in-law Teto Gianlorenzi, granddaughter Allison Gianlorenzi, and honorary grandmother Elizabeth (Itsi) Bonner.
