Colleen Emily (Fredlund) Joki

Colleen Emily Joki, age 91 of Mountain Iron died Wednesday, June 26, 2019 in her home.  She was born June 27, 1928 in Cook, the daughter of Frank and Clara (Jari) Fredlund.  She graduated from the Alango High School, and married John Joki on February 25, 1950 in Hibbing, MN.

Colleen was a homemaker, was a member of Faith United Lutheran Church, worked on the farm, tended big gardens, and enjoyed reading and sewing.

Colleen is survived by her children:  Teresa (Jim) Dall of Crestview, FL, Jerry J. Joki of Mt. Iron, and Debra C. (Glenn) Dall of Mt. Iron;  siblings:  Fran Scofield of Bear River and Frank Fredlund of St. Peter;  grandchildren:  DeAnn (Gabe) Ziegler of Barnum, Rochelle (Bobby) Karp of Blue Earth, Jennifer (Jeff) Tiedeman of Mt. Iron, and Christopher (Abby) Conaway Dall of Bloomington;  great-grandchildren:  Thomas and Colton Ziegler, Bryan, Elizabeth, and Bobby Karp, and Braden, Brant, and Brenna Tiedeman;  and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents:  husband John;  sisters: Joyce Anderson and Cosy Hemphill; and brothers: Russell, Myron, and Vivian Fredlund.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service Monday, July 8, 2019, at Faith United Lutheran Church in Iron.  Pastor  Jim Raisanen will officiate.  A luncheon will follow the service.
