David “Davy” Paul High, Jr., age 57, of Hibbing passed away peacefully, called by the Lord, on May 16, 2025, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born in 1967 in Springfield, IL, the son of David and Dorthea High before moving to Cherry in 1982 and finally to Hibbing in 2008.  Davy graduated from Virginia High School.

            Davy worked at the Range Center DAC in Chisholm for 38 years.  He was always outgoing and loved spending time with his family.  Davy loved watching his favorite game shows when he had time – from the Price is Right to Wheel of Fortune to Jeopardy.  He loved his radio and would always have it playing in the background and could name almost every song.  Davy was an avid sports fan and loved watching and listening to the Vikings and Twins, and of course, sometimes the Packers and Cubs.

            Davy is preceded in death by his mom: Dorthea High.  He will be forever loved and remembered by his dad: David High, Sr.; brother: Daniel (Sheila) High; niece: Maria High; nephew: Carter High; and all of his friends from the Range Center.

            Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the 3:00 p.m. Celebration of Life Service Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the Anderson-Daniels Funeral Home Chapel in  Hibbing.  Greg Anderson will be the Celebrant.  Inurnment will be in the Cherry Cemetery.
