Della D. Kowalski, age 86, longtime resident of Nashwauk, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Sunday, January 14, 2024, at the Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing.  She was born September 27, 1937, in Sebeka, MN, the daughter of Marvin and Grace (Kuper) Dobson.  She was a graduate of Sebeka High School.  Della was united in marriage to Donald Kowalski on October 14, 1955, in Moran, MN.

            Della worked as a homemaker.  She was a member of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Nashwauk.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, 4-wheeling, golfing, and fishing.

            Della is survived by her children: Debbie (Dave) Stephenson of Waite Park, MN, and Mark (Nancy) Kowalski of St. Peter, MN; brother: Dale (Janice) Dobson of Wadena, MN; sister: Donna (Ronald) Marafcik of Milwaukee, WI; sisters-in-law: Norma, Edith, and Joyce;  brother-in-law: Richard (Laurie) Kowalski; grandchildren: Michael (Kristine) DiIorio, Ashlee (Brad) Pundsack, Trevor (Kasey) Stephenson, Jessica (Dan) Wersal, and Brandon (Lexi) Kowalski; great-grandchildren: Desiree, Olivia, Mason, Remington, McCoy, Madelyn, Caden, and Carly.

            She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Donald; daughter: Sharon; granddaughter: Melissa; and brothers: Duane, Dean and Dwight.

            Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christina Burial Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Nashwauk.  Fr.  Joseph Sobolik will be the Celebrant.  Interment will be in the Nashwauk Cemetery.
