Dolores A. (Cockerham) Pietz

           Dolores A. Pietz, age 83 of Virginia died Saturday, April 4, 2020 while in Essentia Health Virginia. She was born July 18, 1936 in Superior the daughter of Porter and Hannah (Lund) Cockerham. Dolores married Andrew “Andy” Pietz on September 8, 1956 in Superior and was a longtime Virginia resident. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

          Dolores is survived by her husband of 63 years: Andy; children: Brenda (Mark) Osterlund of Superior, WI, Sarah (Bryon) Fuerst of Lino Lakes, MN and Harlan Cockerham of Virginia, MN; grandchildren: Anna (Nathan) Lundgren, Adam (Alicia) Osterlund, Jennifer (Steve) Perkins, Jared Osterlund, Ian Cockerham and Avery Cockerham; great grandchildren: Eleanor, Margaret and Adelle; brother: George "Maynard" Cockerham of Braham, MN; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

          She was preceded in death by brothers: Harlan Cockerham and Porter Cockerham, Jr and sisters: Regna DeJung, Edna Schultz, and Phyllis Aspen.  

          Private family graveside services will be held at the River Hill Cemetery in Dairyland, Wisconsin.

          A Celebration of Life for Dolores will be held at a later date.

          Memorials are preferred and may be directed to the Essentia Virginia Convalescent Center, 901 9th Street North, Virginia, MN  55792 where Dolores volunteered for over 30 years.
