Jerald R. Gibson, age 79, longtime resident of Hibbing, MN, passed away, Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in his loving wives embrace.  He was born August 9, 1945, in Milaca, MN, the son of Harold and Lena (Christiansen) Gibson.  He was a graduate of North St. Paul High School.  A veteran of the US Air Force, Jerry served during the Vietnam War.  Jerry was united in marriage to LouAnne E. Zieske on October 29, 1983, at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Hibbing.

            Jerry worked as the Warehouse Supervisor for Nott Co. in Hibbing for 28 years – retiring in 2004.  He was a member of the American Legion.  Jerry enjoyed cars, bowling (he had a 300 game and a 762 series), golfing (scoring a hole-in-one), playing pool, fishing, camping, house-remodeling, and cheating at cards.

            Jerry is survived by his wife: LouAnne; sons: Troy Adam Gibson (Sara) of Columbia, TN, and Aaron Wade Gibson (Marla) of North St. Paul, MN; “adopted daughter”: Samantha Gibson (Dave) of Chisholm, MN; siblings: Bev Evans of Clearwater, FL, Mike Gibson (Cindy) of Columbia, TN, and LeRoy Gibson (Debbie) of Oakdale, MN; grandchildren Noah Isaac Gibson, Bojer John Gibson, and Dahlia Cecelia Gibson; and many nieces and nephews, 4 Cocker Spaniels: Stella, Henry J, Oliver, and Annie; and numerous extended family and friends. And two loving Caregivers Lynn and Nova.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings: Vern Demlow, Pat Gibson, Gene Gibson, and Harvey Gibson.

            Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the 1:30 p.m. Celebration of Life Service, Friday, June 6, 2025 at the First Presbyterian Church in Hibbing.  The Rev. James Deters will officiate.
