Judy E. Deslongchamps, age 80, longtime resident of Hibbing died Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing.  She was born September 3, 1944, Aitkin, MN, the daughter of Herman and Rose (Hemmech) Hegman.  She was a graduate of Aitkin High School.  Judy was united in marriage to Ronald Deslongchamps on January 15, 1966.  A Vietnam War Era Veteran, Judy served as a Navy Nurse stationed in Hawaii.

            Judy worked for Cherish as a Home Healthcare Aide for many years up until her death.  She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Hibbing. 

            Judy is survived by her son: Erick (Megan) Deslongchamps of Little Swan, MN; sister: Margaret Giovanetto of Royal Palm Beach, FL; granddaughters: Ericka (Timothy) Stenberg of Braham, MN, and Taylor Wilson of Eveleth, MN; great-grandchildren: Aspen, Cedric and numerous extended family and friends.

            She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Ronald Deslongchamps (2003), sister: Dorothy Bolan; and brothers: James and Herman Jr. “Sonny”.

            A private service will be held.  Inurnment will be in the Lavell Twp. Cemetery.
