Mary A. Richard, age 70, of Britt, MN, died Tuesday, July 16, 2024, in her home with family by her side after a brave battle with ALS”.  She was born December 11, 1953, in Duluth, MN, the daughter of Frederick and Elizabeth (Lorenzo) Sershen.  She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School.  Mary was united in marriage to Michael Richard on March 11, 1972, at First Presbyterian Church in Virginia.

            Mary is survived by her husband, Michael; daughters: Jennifer (Kevin) Fischer of Hayward, WI, and Megan (Brad) Redmond of Viginia, MN; brother: Fred Sershen, Jr. of Blaine, MN; grandchildren: Grace and Hannah Redmond, and Thomas and Benjamin Fischer; numerous extended family members and friends.

            She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister: Reeny Dodge.

            A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 1-4 p.m. at the Mt. Iron Community Center.  Greg Anderson will be the Celebrant.  Inurnment will be at a later date at the Sand Lake Chapel Cemetery.
