Milo Von Strom, 76, died Thursday August 28, 2025, in his home. He was born on September 21, 1948, to Wesley and Harriet (Kroeger) Strom in Blackduck, Minnesota.
Milo was a proud Army Veteran served in Korea in 1967-1968 and Vietnam 1969-1970. He had a great love for art. With a master’s degree in pottery/ ceramics and degrees in many other mediums of art as well. He taught pottery classes at Mesabi College in Virginia and many schools on the Iron Range from 1979 to 1999, when he retired from teaching. After retirement Milo continued with his pottery participating in many festivals, shows and galleries. He had some of his vases displayed in a Internation Masters Gallery in Taiwan. Milo also has several published poems that he has written.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years Laura Thelen; Children: Nathan Strom and Serena Sanders (Greg Bassett); Sisters: Kathleen Anderson and Cherie Wiltse; Brothers: Michael (Cindy) Strom and James Novak and many nieces and Nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents; Son: Erich Von Strom; Sisters: Patricia Daniels and Stacey Asmund.
