Norma Grulke, age 99, lifelong resident of Virginia, died on April 20, 2025. She was born August 19, 1925, the daughter of George and Ethel (Prout) Wasson in Eveleth, MN. She attended school in Virginia and married Kenneth Grulke on May 24, 1952.
Norma was employed by Franklin Creamery and Troy Laundry and was co-owner of the Corner Grocery store. She was a lifelong member of the Virginia Sewing Club and enjoyed knitting, baking, traveling and flowers.
Norma is survived by son: Paul (Patti) Grulke, of Virginia, MN; granddaughters: Kristen (Wes Bonneville) Chapman of Proctor; Great-Granddaughter: Katelyn Penttinen of Gilbert; great grandson: Alex Bonneville of Proctor; great-great granddaughter: Charlotte Penttinen; Great-Great Grandson: Kenneth Penttinen
Norma was preceded in death by her husband: Kenneth; sisters Dorothy LeClair and Margaret Wasson.
The family wishes to thank the Essentia Health Emergency room staff in Virginia and the staff at Waterview Pines for their care of Norma.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the 11:00 Memorial Service on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Peace United Methodist Church in Virginia. Pastor Rob Kopp will officiate.
