Obituary
Shirley Carlson Aluni, age 100, longtime resident of Virginia died Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the Virginia Care Center. She was born in Virginia November 14, 1921 to John Carlson and Victoria (Bjork) Carlson. She was a member of Gethsemane Evangelical Lutheran Church in Virginia. Shirley co-owned Aluni Distributing Company with her husband Harvey A. Aluni and then worked for Northland Animal Hospital for 40 years.
Shirley is survived by her son: Dr. Harvey R. (Marcia) Aluni; three grandchildren: Karen (Troy) Flicek, Cheryl (Jeff) Tweten, and Dr. Brian (Naomi) Aluni; and four great-grandchildren: Tyler Flicek, Sophia Flicek, Clara Flicek, and Alex Tweten.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Harvey A. Aluni; daughter: Roberta; and brother: Walter Carlson.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the 1:00 p.m. Memorial Service Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Gethsemane Evangelical Lutheran Church in Virginia. Pastor Amy Janssen will be the officiant. Inurnment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Virginia.
