Shirley May Chacich, age 92, longtime resident of Hibbing died Monday, February 14, 2022, at Guardian Angels Health & Rehabilitation in Hibbing.  She was born March 24, 1929, in Superior, WI the daughter of James and Ruby (Hoosier) McCain.  She was a graduate of Superior High School.  Shirley was united in marriage to John G. Chacich on August 12, 1978.

            Shirley worked on the production line of Geno’s Inc. and RJ Reynolds in Duluth.  She attended Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hibbing.  Was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and Sons of Norway Midnatsolen Lodge.

            Shirley is survived by her sister: Margaret Lancour of Superior, WI; 7 step-children; several nieces and nephews; and good friends: Mary Hemmersbaugh and Pam Karich.

            She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: John; brother: James McCain; sisters: Harriet Syman, Bonnie Day, and Myrtle McCain; and 2 step-children.

            Inurnment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Superior, WI.
