Susan Marie Chicag

            Susan Marie Chicag, age 41, longtime resident of Duluth, died Thursday, June 1, 2023, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.  She was born August 7, 1981, in Virginia, MN, the daughter of Faron and Phyliss (Sam) Chicag.  She was a graduate of Albrook High School and went on to attend Lake Superior College. 

            Susan was a homemaker who also worked at Quick Trip and Wendy’s.  She attended Faith Lutheran Church in Culver, MN.  Susan was energetic, beautiful, and funny.  She greatly enjoyed spending time with the people she loved the most.

            Susan is survived by her daughters: Arriana Gault and Amara Chicag of Duluth, MN; siblings: Carol Samm of Duluth, MN, Janelle (William) Soderlind of Duluth, MN, Tamara Chicag of Duluth, MN, Jeremy Samm of Cold Spring, MN, Wendy (Paul) Clark of Sartell, MN, and Paul (Jessica) Larson of Zimmerman, MN; foster parents: Robert (Kathie) Larson of Alborn, MN; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

            She was preceded in death by her parents.

            The Wake will be held at the Vermilion Wellness Center on Sunday, June 4, 2023, beginning at 6:00 pm.  The Service will be held at the Vermilion Wellness Center on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 10:00 am.  Spiritual Advisor Vernon Adams will officiate.  Interment will be in the Bois Forte Cemetery in Tower.
