Levi and I are extremely saddened to share with you all that we lost the best father and husband that anyone could dream of being blessed with. Tom Lundquist, age 56 of Britt, and formerly of Palo passed away on Monday afternoon, a heart attack. For all that knew Lunky, he had a light that shined so bright. A smile that touched your heart and lit up a room. He loved to share a good joke, often inappropriate, which made it all that much funnier. He was kind. He was a helper in life, he was always helping someone with something. He had a great big heart that was so full of love. We miss him incredibly, but who could ask for a better guardian angel to watch over them.
Tom was born March 23, 1968, in East Grand Forks, MN and lived in Palo and Minneapolis, MN prior to returning to the Range. He was employed as a production truck driver at US Steel – Minntac. He married Shannon Kaufman in Virginia on August 6, 2005. Tom’s passion was music. He played guitar, enjoyed going on side-by-side rides, pontooning with the Sand Lake Gang, golf, and most especially helping friends and family.
Tom is survived by his wife of 20 years: Shannon; son: Levi; Mother: JoAnne White of Virginia, MN; Siblings: Karen Lundquist of Minneapolis MN, Julie (Bruce) Miltz of North Branch MN, Waylan (Karlyn) Lundquist of Virginia, Richard (Tracee) White of Stillwater MN, Kim (John) Schick of Florida, and Willy “Buck” (Stephanie) White of Oregon, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father: Willard Lundquist and stepfather: Wilfred “Butch” White; siblings: Ginger Crews and Kenny White; grandparents: Oscar & Agnes (Lorenson) Olson and Robert & Nettie (Ornquist) Lundquist.
Levi and I can’t thank you enough for all the kind words, memories shared, time spent with us, food and supplies that you have delivered. The outpouring of love is truly overwhelming, and it has helped Levi and I tremendously. We feel like we’re wrapped tight in all your arms and it’s truly helping us navigate this journey.
